Dia de los Hooks Takes Over Whataburger Field This Weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI - Whataburger Field comes alive this weekend for Dia de los Hooks, the third-annual celebration emulating Dia de los Muertos, for the first three games of a four-game homestand against the Midland RockHounds.
Dia de los Hooks kicks off Thursday, August 1 will feature face painting, local artists and vendors, hair braiding, an ofrenda to honor those we have lost, authentic Mexican food and more.
On Saturday, August 3, the Hooks will host their first-ever Dia de los Regalos, or "Day of the Gifts," bringing back several top giveaway items from previous years. All fans in attendance are guaranteed to randomly receive one premium item.
The Hooks will wear special uniforms, with game-worn jerseys available for auction at cchooks.com/auction beginning Wednesday, July 31 at 1 p.m. through Sunday, August 4 at 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit K-Space and Foster Angels of South Texas. Dia de los Hooks apparel and caps will also be available at Hook, Line & Sinker and online starting Thursday. The brief homestand wraps up Sunday as the team takes the field as the Corpus Christi Raspas.

Among the giveaways are 2017 Replica Astros World Series rings, Hooks Whataburger jerseys, Astros George Springer "Thumbs Up" bobbleheads, Retro Houston Astros caps and more. Giveaway items will be limited to one per person and fans will not be able to choose their item. Fans must be present with their ticket to receive an item.
