Duran triples and scores the lone run

Portland, Maine - Connor Seabold allowed just one run over six innings and the Reading Fightin Phils (35-25) defeated the Sea Dogs (28-31) for the second straight night, winning 7-1 on Tuesday at Hadlock Field.

Seabold (W, 1-1) scattered five hits over his six frames while striking out six and walking one.
Reading scored the game's first run on a solo homer by Josh Stephen off of Denyi Reyes in the second inning.
The Fightins added a run in the third on an RBI single by Alec Bohm with two outs to make it 2-0.
Portland got on the board in the third thanks to a triple by Jarren Duran and an RBI groundout by Marcus Wilson. But Portland wouldn't be able to muster any more runs in the ballgame.
Reading blew the game open with a four-run sixth off of Reyes. With two on and one out, Stephen hit a dribbler down the first base line that Reyes threw into right field to allow two runs to score. Nick Maton followed with an RBI double, then two batters later Jose Gomez hit an RBI single to score Maton and extend the lead to 6-1.
Reyes (L, 7-11) allowed six runs on five hits in 5.2 innings with six strikeouts and no walks.
Reading loaded the bases against Dedgar Jimenez in the top of the ninth and added their seventh run on a sac fly by Mickey Moniak.
Garrett Cleavinger worked two scoreless innings in relief of Seabold and fanned five of the eight batters he faced. Grant Dyer finished the game by striking out the side in the ninth. Reading pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts for the second straight night.
The series continues on Wednesday afternoon with a 12:00 PM start at Hadlock Field. RHP Bryan Mata (2-6, 6.20) takes on RHP Colton Eastman (1-1, 1.99). Radio coverage on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network begins at 11:45 AM. The game is available on the tune-in app and MiLB.TV.
