Portland, Maine - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (69-55) committed back-to-back errors in the bottom of the ninth and the Sea Dogs (55-70) walked off with a 3-2 victory in front of 7,163 fans on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field. Portland swept the two-game series over the Fisher Cats.

With the game tied 2-2, Chris Madera led off against Zach Jackson (L, 2-3) and hit a sinking liner to second base that got past Bo Bichette for the first error of the inning. Then on a sac bunt attempt by Danny Mars, Cavan Biggio committed a wild throw that allowed Madera to score all the way from first and end the ballgame.

Both teams scored their first two runs in the sixth inning. Cavan Biggio doubled off the wall to score Jon Berti and Max Pentecost in the top of the inning. Portland answered in the bottom half on a two-run homer by Michael Chavis to dead center field.

Both starting pitchers were sharp and lasted five innings each. Daniel McGrath went 5+ and allowed two runs on six hits while walking one and tying a season-high with six strikeouts. TJ Zeuch went five scoreless, allowing two hits and two walks while fanning five.

The Sea Dogs bullpen was excellent in relief of McGrath. Adam Lau pitched three scoreless, hitless innings and Jordan Weems (W, 4-3) pitched a hitless top of the ninth.

The Sea Dogs and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) open up a three-game series in two days on Wednesday night with a doubleheader at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Radio coverage begins at 5:20 PM on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network. MiLB.TV starts at 5:30 PM.
