Drillers Hosting Arkansas August 11-16 to Open Two-Week Home Stand

The Tulsa Drillers (Double-A Affiliate of the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers) will return to ONEOK Field on Tuesday, August 11 when they open the longest home stand of the season. The 12-game, 2-week home stand will open with a 6-game series against the Arkansas Travelers (Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners).

The Drillers will host the Travelers for six straight days with the set of games running through Sunday, August 16. All six games in the series will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The promotions schedule for the series will be headlined by two consecutive nights of Fireworks Shows and a special Sunday evening game.

News On 6 K-Hits Friday Night Fireworks is scheduled for the August 14th game, while NewsChannel 8 Grand Slam Saturday Fireworks will be featured on August 15.

Grand Slam Saturday will also be SpongeBob Night with the Drillers wearing special SpongeBob jerseys and the first 1,500 fans receiving SpongeBob hats.

The series will open with $2 Tuesday on August 11. In addition to discounted tickets for this game, fans will be able to purchase hot dogs, popcorn, tacos, soft drinks and ice cream novelty items for just $2 each. Also, Mazzio’s Go Pizzas will be discounted by $2 each.

One of only two Bark In the Park promotions remaining this season will take place on Wednesday, August 12. It’s your last chances to enjoy baseball with your dog.

The Tulsa Ranch Dippers will make their much-anticipated return on Thursday, August 13. The Drillers will rebrand as the Ranch Dippers and will wear the special jerseys for this game. The first 1,000 fans will receive Ranch Dippers T-shirts. The Drillers will also play a second game as the Ranch Dippers on Friday.

The series will conclude with an evening game, and it is a night for kids. As part of Family FUNday Sunday, all young fans, ages 14 and under, will receive FREE tickets for the game. The first 500 fans 14 and under will also receive a pair of Drillers Athletic Sunglasses. In addition, the QuikTrip Hornsby’s Hangout will be free of charge for kids, and after the game, they will be able to run the bases courtesy of Delta Dental.

The series will mark the final meetings of the regular season between Tulsa and Arkansas. The two teams have split 18 previous meetings this year.
