Drive, Spinx Team-Up for Special "Spinx Grand Slam" Bird Dog During Final Homestand

The Greenville Drive and Spinx are bringing a uniquely Greenville flavor to Fluor Field for the final homestand of the 2026 season with the debut of the Spinx Grand Slam, a special bird dog available August 25-30.

Created by Greenville Drive Executive Chef Austyn McGroarty, the Spinx Grand Slam combines a ballpark classic with one of the Upstate’s favorite hometown staples. The creation starts with a top-sliced, grilled hot dog bun loaded with Spinx’s famous chicken tenders and finished with a generous helping of homemade pimento cheese.

The result is a Southern-inspired take on the traditional ballpark hot dog—and a fitting collaboration between two Greenville favorites.

“We wanted to create something that felt distinctly Greenville and brought together what both the Drive and Spinx are known for,” said McGroarty. “Spinx chicken tenders are already a local favorite, and pairing them with homemade pimento cheese on a grilled bun made for a combination that we think fans are really going to enjoy.”

The Spinx Grand Slam will be available exclusively during the Drive’s final six-game homestand of the regular season, August 25-30, as Greenville hosts the Rome Emperors at Fluor Field.
