Hickory, NC - The Greenville Drive offense was held to just four hits on Sunday afternoon as the Hickory Crawdads posted a 3-0 shutout in game two of the four-game series.
Kyle Cody (6-6) was the story for the Crawdads (16-14, 43-57), as he fired seven scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and one walk with seven strikeouts to get the win.
Hickory plated a pair of runs off Jhonathan Diaz (4-4) in the second to take the lead. Andretty Cordero singled with one out and came in on a triple by Yohel Pozo. Anderson Tejeda then grounded out to score Pozo and make the score 2-0. Those were the only runs allowed by Diaz, who gave up just three hits over five innings. 
The Crawdads plated an unearned run in the seventh courtesy of a sacrifice fly by Blaine Prescott. That was the only run given up by Pat Goetze over three innings of relief.
Tucker Tubbs led the Drive (14-15, 55-43) offense with two hits in the game.
The series continues on Monday night in Hickory at 7:00. Right-hander Hildemaro Requena (4-3, 3.28) will make his first start of the season for the Drive, and the Crawdads will counter with right-hander Walker Weickel (2-2, 2.15).
