Turning Point
With a 1-0 lead heading into the fourth inning, Yu Chang cranked a two-run home run as a part of a three-run, five-hit inning for the RubberDucks to put them up 4-0.  
 
Winging It
Ducks starter Shao-Ching Chiang didn't face any serious damage through the first four innings. He allowed one run in back-to-back innings in the fifth and sixth on a A.J. Simcox single and Christin Stewart's 28th double of the season, respectively. Chiang faced two batters in the seventh, giving up a single and a double before exiting in favor of D.J. Brown. Chiang went six-plus innings, giving up nine hits, four runs, all earned, and no walks on four strikeouts. Brown gave up a two-run single in the seventh with both runs being charged to Chiang, making it 6-4 Akron. Dylan Baker came on in the eighth and pitched a perfect inning. Cameron Hill escaped a one-out, bases loaded jam in the ninth to get his 12th save of the season. Erie starter Beau Burrows went four innings with seven hits, four runs, all earned, and no walks with five strikeouts.
 
Duck Tales
Akron right fielder Taylor Murphy began the scoring with his second home run of the year, a solo shot to make it 1-0 Akron. They made it 4-0 in the fourth after a two-run home run from Yu Chang and a Tyler Krieger RBI double. The Ducks added two more runs in the seventh without recording a hit to make it 6-2. Dorssys Paulino drew a bases loaded walk and Mejia followed with a sac fly. Greg Allen went 3-4 with two doubles. Eric Haase and Taylor Murphy both added two hits, each with a double.
 
Notebook
Indians outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall played left field and went 0-3 in a rehab appearance for Akron. Dorssys Paulino replaced Chisenhall in left in the sixth inning… The Ducks combined for seven extra base hits on five doubles and two homers… Shao-Ching Chiang has gone at least five full innings in all five of his Akron starts… Dylan Baker has thrown four scoreless innings in his four appearances since coming off the DL… Time of Game: 2:42… Attendance: 4,481.

The RubberDucks will begin a four-game series with the Harrisburg Senators on Monday. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. Luis Lugo (8-7, 4.56) is expected to take the mound for Akron against Harrisburg's Kyle McGowin (1-5, 8.51).
