Summary
Behind a solid pitching performance from Thomas Pannone, the RubberDucks were able to hang on to win 6-3 over the Rumble Ponies in the completion of the suspended game from 5/13. In game two Binghamton starter P.J. Conlon went the distance, throwing a complete game shutout in the seven-inning game to lead the Rumble Ponies past the RubberDucks 13-0 Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium.

Turning Point
Binghamton shortstop Gustavo Nunez clubbed a RBI double to break open the scoring in the second inning of game two. Binghamton would strike for five runs in the inning and the RubberDucks could not respond.
Winging It
In the completion of the suspended game, Thomas Pannone picked up where he left off from May and tossed five scoreless innings to officially seal the victory for Akron. In game two Akron starter Nick Pasquale could not make it out of the second inning giving up five runs on seven hits. Binghamton would put up another crooked number in the sixth, striking for seven runs. Akron reliever Mitch Brown failed to get an out and was tagged for four earned runs, walking three and giving up one hit. Neil Holland entered to work out of the inning and he was charged for three runs and three hits of his own.
Duck Tales
In the 6-3 win, all six runs were scored on 5/13 so the offense did not score a run in the 11 innings of play Tuesday night. The Ducks offense only tallied three hits in game two off Binghamton starter P.J. Conlon. The lone extra base hit was an Eric Haase double in the second inning. The Ducks offense was 0-4 with runners in scoring position.
Notebook
Prior to the originally slated game tonight, Akron and Binghamton finished a suspended from 5/13… The RubberDucks held on to win 6-3… Thomas Pannone originally started the game on 5/13 and continued pitching when play resumed Tuesday night... Altogether Pannone picked up the win and threw a complete game despite the long layover in completing the game… Time of Game: 2:07… Attendance: 3,069.

Akron and Binghamton will play a doubleheader Wednesday beginning at 12:05 p.m. Matt Esparza (5-2, 4.07) will take the hill game one for Akron followed by the debut of Dominic DeMasi. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1350 AM, the WARF iHeart channel, and the TuneIn Radio App.
