Harrisburg's Yadiel Hernandez hit a two-out, two-run walk-off home run to cap off a three-run ninth inning for the Senators to complete their six-run comeback.
 
Winging It
Ducks starter Shane Bieber pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four strikeouts, no runs and a walk with eight strikeouts. Bieber prevented any serious damage, with the Senators only threat coming in the fifth inning with two singles. Bieber threw just eight pitches in his last inning in the seventh. David Speer relieved Bieber in the 8th and allowed three runs on three hits. Jordan Milbrath came on with one out and two on to end the inning. Milbrath came back on in the ninth and allowed three unearned runs on three hits. Harrisburg starter Taylor Hill went seven innings, giving up seven hits, two runs, all earned, and one walk on nine strikeouts.
 
Duck Tales
Ducks left fielder Luigi Rodriguez got the scoring started in the third inning with his 13th home run of the year, a solo shot to put Akron up 1-0. Greg Allen doubled their lead with a bases loaded sacrifice fly in the seventh scoring Eric Haase. Tyler Krieger put the Ducks up 5-0 with a three-run, bases loaded double in the eighth, his third three-RBI game of the season. Allen stole his 21st base of the season in the first inning.

Akron catcher Francisco Mejía got his first minor league start at third base… Joe Sever has hit safely in 10 consecutive games… Shane Bieber has struck out eight batters in each of his last three starts… The RubberDucks loss puts Akron out of the 2017 playoff race… Time of Game: 3:01… Attendance: 4,272.
