The Durham Bulls announced today plans to improve and extend protective netting at Durham Bulls Athletic Park prior to the start of the 2020 season. The netting will extend farther down the foul lines protecting most sections in the lower seating bowl.

"Our mission is to create the best fan experience for every person who visits the DBAP," Vice President - Baseball Operations Mike Birling said. "Safety plays a large role in that experience and extending the netting will give our fans an added level of comfort."
The new net material will be knotless and 95 percent see through, thus providing a significantly improved experience for those seats previously protected by the netting and the new areas. The system will have an adjustable section at the ends of both dugouts to give fans the ability to interact with players prior to the start of the game.
"The Bulls have done extensive research on protective netting with the fan experience in mind," Birling said. "We want fans to feel at ease while watching a baseball game, but also have the access pre/post-game they have enjoyed in the past."
The Bulls start the 2020 season with their home opener on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Season memberships and group outings are available now at durhambulls.com or by calling 919.956.BULL.
