Patrick Mazeika has appeared in 105 games for the Rumble Ponies this season and is batting .253 (96-for-379) with 24 doubles, 15 home runs, 64 RBIs, and 47 runs scored. Patrick has been a key offensive contributor for the Rumble Ponies, leading all Binghamton hitters in hits (96), total bases (167), doubles (24), home runs (15), and RBIs (64). Mazeika currently ranks among the league leaders in RBIs (64-4th), extra-base hits (40-tied 6th), home runs (15-tied 6th), slugging percentage (.441-9th), and total bases (167-10th). Patrick was selected as a member of the Eastern Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was named Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of May 13th-May 19th.
After making his Double-A debut with the Thunder last season, Chris Gittens returned to Trenton this season and is hitting .281 (104-for-370) with 16 doubles, 22 home runs, 75 RBIs, and 53 runs scored in 107 games. Gittens currently leads the league in home runs (22), RBIs (75), on-base percentage (.393), slugging percentage (.508), and OPS (.901). He also ranks among the leaders in walks (66-3rd), total bases (188-3rd), batting average (.281-6th), and extra-base hits (39-tied 9th). Chris was the starting first baseman for the Eastern Division at the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was selected as the "Best Defensive First Baseman" in the Eastern League this season in Baseball America's Best Tools rankings.
Santiago Espinal batted .278 (102-for-367) with 21 doubles, five home runs, 57 RBIs, 46 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases in 94 games with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats this season. He was rewarded for that performance with a promotion to Triple-A Buffalo on August 3rd. At the time of his promotion to Triple-A Espinal was ranked among the league leaders in RBIs (57-tied 3rd), hits (102-6th), and batting average (.278-8th). Santiago was the starting second baseman for the Eastern Division at the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of April 15th-April 21st.
Bobby Dalbec hit .234 (84-for-359) with 15 doubles, 20 home runs, 57 RBIs, and 57 runs scored in 105 games with the Portland Sea Dogs this season before receiving a promotion to Triple-A Pawtucket on August 3rd. At the time of his promotion Dalbec was leading the league in home runs (20) and walks (68) and was also ranked among the league leaders in on-base percentage (.371-3rd), slugging percentage (.454-3rd), OPS (.825-3rd), total bases (163-3rd), RBIs (57-tied 3rd), extra-base hits (37-tied 4th), and runs scored (57-tied 5th). Bobby, who is rated by MLB.com as the second best prospect in the Boston organization, was named to the Eastern Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of May 6th-May 12th. He was also chosen as having the "Best Power", "Best Strike-Zone Judgement", and "Best Infield Arm" and was selected as the "Most Exciting Player" in the Eastern League this season in Baseball America's Best Tools rankings.
In his Double-A debut for the Portland Sea Dogs this season C.J. Chatham batted .297 (104-for-350) with 26 doubles, three home runs, 36 RBIs, 39 runs scored, and seven stolen bases in 90 games. That performance led to Chatham receiving a promotion to Triple-A Pawtucket on August 13th. At the time of his promotion C.J., who is currently rated by MLB.com as the 10th best prospect in the Boston organization, was leading the league batting race with his .297 average and he was also tied for fifth in the league with 26 doubles.
Erie outfielder Jose Azocar is hitting .291 (134-for-461) with 19 doubles, 10 home runs, 56 RBIs, 62 runs scored, and nine stolen bases in 118 games this season while making his Double-A debut for the SeaWolves. Azocar currently leads the league in hits (134) and is also ranked among the league leaders in batting average (.291-2nd), total bases (187-4th), and runs scored (62-7th). Jose was the starting centerfielder for the Western Division at the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and went 1-for-4 with one RBI in the Western Division's 5-0 victory. He was also chosen as having the "Best Outfield Arm" in the Eastern League this season in Baseball America's Best Tools rankings.
Mickey Moniak is hitting .256 (112-for-437) with 27 doubles, 13 triples, 10 home runs, 65 RBIs, 61 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases in 112 games while making his Double-A debut for the Fightin Phils this season. Moniak currently leads the league in triples (13) and is also ranked among the leaders in extra-base hits (50-2nd), total bases (195-2nd), RBIs (65-3rd), doubles (27-tied 3rd), slugging percentage (.446-5th), hits (112-tied 7th), and runs scored (61-8th). Mickey, who is rated by MLB.com as the ninth best prospect in the Philadelphia organization, was named to the Eastern Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond.
In 112 games this season outfielder Jared Oliva is hitting .289 (118-for-409) with 24 doubles, six triples, six home runs, 41 RBIs, 66 runs scored, and 33 stolen bases while making his Double-A debut for the Altoona Curve. Jared, who is rated by MLB.com as the 11th best prospect in the Pittsburgh organization, currently ranks among the league leaders in stolen bases (33-2nd), triples (6-tied 3rd), batting average (.289-4th), runs scored (66-5th), hits (118-5th), on-base percentage (.362-6th), OPS (.783-6th), and total bases (172-8th).
After spending the final three months of the 2018 season with the Fightin Phils, first baseman Darick Hall returned to Reading for the 2019 season and has shown improvement across the board. Hall is batting .239 (100-for-419) with 34 doubles, 20 home runs, 66 RBIs, and 65 runs scored in 122 games this season. He currently leads the league in extra-base hits (55), total bases (196), and doubles (34) and is also ranked among the leaders in RBIs (66-2nd), home runs (20-tied 2nd), slugging percentage (.468-3rd), OPS (.821-4th), walks (58-5th), runs scored (65-6th), and on-base percentage (.353-8th). Darick was a member of the Eastern Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of July 22nd-July 28th.
Isaac Paredes is hitting .290 (128-for-442) with 23 doubles, 11 home runs, 58 RBIs, and 59 runs scored in 117 games for the Erie SeaWolves this season while appearing in games at third base and shortstop. Paredes, who is rated by MLB.com as the fifth best prospect in the Detroit organization, is currently ranked among the league leaders in hits (128-2nd), on-base percentage (.373-2nd), batting average (.290-3rd), total bases (186-5th), OPS (.794-5th), RBIs (58-tied 8th), walks (52-tied 8th), and runs scored (59-tied 9th). Isaac was named to the Western Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond, was chosen as a member of the American League roster for the 2019 Futures Game in Cleveland, and was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of July 29th-August 4th.
Matt Manning has started 23 games for the Erie SeaWolves this season and has a record of 11-4 with 142 strikeouts and a 2.46 ERA over 128.0 inning of work. Manning currently leads the league in strikeouts (142) and WHIP (0.97) and is also ranked among the league leaders in batting average against (.188-2nd), wins (11-tied 2nd), winning percentage (.730-tied 2nd), ERA (2.46-3rd), and innings pitched (128.0-6th). He was also named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of April 4th-April 14th and was chosen as having the "Best Breaking Pitch" in the Eastern League this season in Baseball America's Best Tools rankings.
Bowie left-hander Zac Lowther has put together a record of 13-7 with 137 strikeouts and a 2.71 ERA over 136.0 innings in 24 starts while making his Double-A debut for the Baysox this season. Lowther currently leads the league in wins (13) and is also ranked among the league leaders in strikeouts (137-2nd), innings pitched (136.0-3rd), batting average against (.198-4th), ERA (2.71-5th), winning percentage (.650-6th), and WHIP (1.14-7th). Zac, who is rated by MLB.com as the 10th best prospect in the Baltimore organization, was a member of the Western Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of May 13th-May 19th.
Harrisburg relief pitcher Aaron Barrett has been dominant at the back of the bullpen this season, converting 28 saves while posting a record of 0-2 with 60 strikeouts and a 2.61 ERA over 48.1 innings of work in 46 games for the Senators this season. Barrett currently leads the league in saves (28) and is also ranked among the league leaders in appearances (46-2nd) and games finished (39-tied 2nd). Aaron was a member of the Western Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and retired both batters that he faced in the Western Division's 5-0 victory.
