BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - In the bottom of the fourth inning, the first eight Bowling Green Hot Rods (24-16, 55-52) batters all reached base and scored, leading to a 10-2 victory over the Lansing Lugnuts (16-24, 53-53) on Thursday night at Bowling Green Ballpark.
The rally spoiled the return of Justin Maese (Loss, 5-3) in his first Lugnuts start since May 29th. The Midwest League All-Star gave up eight runs on eight hits, departing after facing the first seven batters of the fourth.

Bowling Green starter Kenny Rosenberg (Win, 5-6) struck out nine batters in seven innings while limiting the Nuts to three hits, one walk and one unearned run - an RBI single by Joshua Palacios in the third inning that briefly tied the game at 1-1.

The Lugnuts scored their second run in the eighth against reliever Deivy Mendez, loading the bases on a Mattingly Romanin double and two walks ahead of an Edward Olivares RBI fielder's choice.

Romanin led the Lugs' offense, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Palacios added a 1-for-2, two-walk night.

The teams have split the first two games of the series, setting up a rubber match on Friday at 7:35 p.m., with Lansing right-hander Kyle Weatherly (0-2, 7.35) dueling with Hot Rods knuckleballer Chris Pike (2-3, 4.17).
