Left-handed pitcher Enmanuel De Jesus etched his name into the Greenville Drive record books on Thursday by starting the Drive's third no-hitter in franchise history, and he was rewarded for his efforts by being selected the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for July 16-22.
De Jesus took a perfect game into the eighth inning in Thursday's road contest against the Asheville Tourists, only allowing runners to reach base on a hit-by-pitch and a throwing error following a strikeout. He struck out five Asheville hitters and allowed just one unearned run with no walks.

The no-hitter was the first in Drive history since Miguel Pena, Hunter Cervenka and Tyler Lockwood combined to no-hit the Rome Braves on May 8th, 2012 at Fluor Field.
De Jesus becomes the first Drive player to receive South Atlantic League weekly honors in 2018. The last player to receive weekly honors from the league was fellow left-hander Jay Groome, who was named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for July 31-August 6, 2017.
The 21 year-old has made 14 appearances, including nine starts, for Greenville in 2018, and he sports a 4-2 record with a 3.39 ERA with 67 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings pitched while holding opponents to a .220 batting average.
