Jesus Castillo (2-6) took the loss despite tossing five scoreless frames to begin his outing. He allowed three unearned runs in the sixth inning. After a two-out missed catch error, Stone Garrett put Jacksonville (20-33) in front 3-1 with a three-run homer to left field.
Brandon Sandoval answered back quickly for Mobile (21-31) with a solo home run to lead off the seventh. However, the BayBears would get no closer, as the Jumbo Shrimp tallied three more unearned runs in the bottom of the inning.
