CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, were hit hard by the Chattanooga Lookouts on Friday night, beaten in 8-2 fashion at AT&T Field.

The Generals (61-55) faltered for the fifth time in six games, falling behind Chattanooga (56-59) 2-1 in the series.
Justin Donatella (5-8, 3.97 ERA) didn't have his best stuff on Friday, allowing a walk and then an RBI triple to Luke Raley in the first inning to give Chattanooga a 1-0 lead. After a scoreless second frame, Donatella allowed the first four hitters in the third inning to reach base, with a Jaylin Davis RBI single and a Mitchell Kranson sacrifice fly staking the home team to a 3-0 lead. The uppercut came in the fifth, as Raley belted a two-run homer over the right field wall for a 5-1 Chattanooga advantage.
Ryan Atkinson worked 1.2 innings in relief without allowing a run, but Tyler Mark's seventh inning did not go as well. Though Mark set down the first two men he faced, an error by second baseman Kevin Medrano allowed the inning to continue, and two batters later, Chattanooga's Jordan Gore laced a two-run triple to center field, giving the Lookouts a 7-2 edge at the time. An RBI single by Zander Wiel drove home Gore to complete Chattanooga's siege. Kevin Ginkel worked a 1-2-3 eighth inning, but the Generals staff as a whole finished with more walks allowed (5) than strikeouts (3).
Battling left-hander Dietrich Enns and piggy-back right-hander Omar Bencomo (7-6, 3.63 ERA), the Jackson bats did minimal damage, with an RBI double by Jason Morozowski registering as the only extra-base hit. Domingo Leyba had a pair of knocks and a run driven in, but Jackson went without a home run for the eleventh straight game and failed to steal a base for the sixth time in seven contests.
