Visalia, CA – A four-day break couldn’t slow a four-game winning streak, as the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes won their fifth straight game, defeating Visalia on Friday night by a final of 12-0 at Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia..

Yeiner Fernandez returned from the Injured List to drive in a career-high seven runs, as the Quakes opened their three-game series and first of nine straight on the road with their fifth straight win, giving them seven wins in their last eight games overall.

Feranandez crushed his first of two home runs in the fourth, breaking a scoreless tie with a grand slam off Dylan Castaneda (0-1).

Fernandez struck again in the fifth, as he blasted a three-run homer to give him seven RBIs, the most for a Quake since 2017. His three-run homer was part of an eight-run fifth, as the Quakes made it 12-0.

Yunior Garcia led the offense with three of their 13 hits on the night.

On the hill, Edgardo Henriquez gave the Quakes two scoreless innings to start. It was Orlando Ortiz (2-2) who got the win though, as he tossed four scoreless frames in relief, allowing just two hits while striking out five.

The Quakes (12-10, 48-40) will send River Ryan (1-2) to the mound on Saturday, as he takes on Yilber Diaz at 6:30pm.

The Quakes will eventually return to LoanMart Field on Tuesday, August 2, as they host the Inland Empire 66ers in a six-game set. Tuesday, August 2 will be a Healthy RC Recycle Tuesday. Tickets are available at rcquakes.com. We hope to see you at LoanMart Field...Go Quakes!
