Final Two Homestands Start Tuesday

ZEBULON, N.C. - The first-place Carolina Mudcats begin their final two homestands of the 2023 season on Tuesday, August 22 with the first game of a six-game home series versus the Kansas City Royals affiliated Columbia Fireflies at Five County Stadium. The final regular season home series of the season then begins on Tuesday, August 29 against the Texas Rangers affiliated Down East Wood Ducks at Five County Stadium.

The new homestand includes Starry Taco Tuesday on Tuesday, August 22, Winslow Homes Winning Wednesday on Wednesday, August 23 and Thirsty Thursday™ on Thursday, August 24. The weekend schedule is jam-packed with Friday Night Fireworks presented by CBS 17 News on Friday, August 25, Souvenir Saturday featuring a souvenir backpack giveaway presented by The CW 22 and MyRDC on Saturday, August 26 as well as Muddy's Birthday and WakeMed Five County Family Sunday featuring $7.00 box seat tickets and post-game catch on Sunday, August 27.

Additionally, the Mudcats will honor the legacy of local Negro Leagues teams by playing as the semi-pro Raleigh Grays, with specially designed game jerseys, during Negro Leagues Weekend on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 at Five County Stadium. The Raleigh Grays-inspired game jerseys will be made available for purchase via online auction following the 2023 season. The net proceeds of the jersey auction will be donated to a local charity.

Taco Tuesday presented by Starry: Taco Tuesday is presented by Starry and features $2.00 tacos and Starry drink specials for Tuesday night home games throughout the season. This Tuesday night only special is available at the Whisker’s Café concessions stand located on the first base side of Five County Stadium.

Wednesday, 8/23 vs. Columbia Fireflies

First Pitch: 7:00 p.m. / Gates Open: 6:00 p.m.

Winning Wednesday presented by Winslow Homes: A Mudcats victory on the field means a victory for the fans in the stands with Winning Wednesday presented by Winslow Homes. If the Mudcats win this week’s Wednesday home game, then fans in attendance will have a chance to exchange their game ticket for a ticket of equal value, for free, to Carolina’s next Wednesday home game.

First Pitch: 5:00 p.m. / Gates Open: 4:00 p.m.

Souvenir Saturday: Backpack Giveaway presented by The CW and MyRDC: Souvenirs headline all Saturday home games this season at Five County Stadium. This Souvenir Saturday giveaway features a Mudcats branded souvenir backpack presented by The CW and MyRDC. All Souvenir Saturday giveaway items are free to the first 1,000 fans with paid admission.

Negro Leagues Weekend: The Mudcats will honor the legacy of local Negro Leagues teams by playing as the Raleigh Grays, with limited edition game jerseys, during Negro Leagues Weekend on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 at Five County Stadium. The Raleigh Grays were a semi-pro Negro Leagues team that played in Raleigh in the 1920s and 1930s. The game jerseys will be made available for purchase via online auction following the 2023 season. The net proceeds of the jersey auction will be donated to a local charity.

Sunday, 8/27 vs. Columbia Fireflies

First Pitch: 1:00 p.m. / Gates Open: 12:00 p.m.

WakeMed Five County Family Sunday: Presented by WakeMed, Five County Family Sundays feature $7.00 box seat tickets for all fans residing in one of Five County Stadium's five counties including Wake County, Franklin County, Nash County, Johnston County and Wilson County. Each Five County Family Sunday game concludes with a chance to play catch on the field after the game. Post-game catch is free and is open to fans of all ages.

Muddy's Birthday: Come celebrate with the Mudcats as we honor our wacky catfish mascot Muddy for his birthday on August 27. This day will be filled with birthday games and fun, as well as visits from some North Carolina's top mascots including NC State's Mr. and Mrs. Wuf, UNC's Rameses and more.
