Flemming Homers, RiverDogs Take Fourth Straight

Charleston, SC – Cooper Flemming tallied two hits and drove in two to lead the Charleston RiverDogs to a 6-3 victory over the Augusta GreenJackets in front of 4,549 fans at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

After the RiverDogs opened scoring in the second one a first-and-third play, pitching defined the first half of the game.

Jacob Kuhn was stellar, delivering five shutout innings while limiting Augusta to just one hit. Cesar De Jesus followed with two scoreless frames of his own.

The RiverDogs jumped back on the board in the bottom of the sixth when Flemming lined an RBI single to right. He later scored on an error to extend the lead to 3-0.

Charleston broke the game open in the bottom of the seventh, when Andreimi Antunez lined a sacrifice fly to center, and Flemming blasted a solo shot to right.

Leading by six in the ninth, Charleston allowed three runs before slamming the door on the 6-3 victory.

With the win, the RiverDogs moved to 72-57 and 34-28 in the second half, while Augusta fell to 68-60, and 33-29 in the second half. The two return to the diamond tomorrow for game four of the series. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. with coverage beginning at 6:50 on MiLB.TV and the RiverDogs Broadcast Network.

After clinching the Carolina League South first half title, the RiverDogs have secured a spot in the 2026 postseason, presented by Nucor Steel Berkeley. The best-of-three Division Series begins on Tuesday in Hickory, September 8. Thanks to their first-half division title, the RiverDogs are guaranteed to host Game 2, and, if necessary, Game 3, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on September 10 and 11.

The RiverDogs and Southern Screams teamed up to bring Haunted City Night to The Joe for an evening filled with frights, fun and plenty of excitement! The ballpark transformed into a spooky setting with macabre-inspired décor, roaming actors, eerie photo opportunities and unexpected surprises around every corner.
