Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, will welcome former New York Yankees RHP Ramiro Mendoza to TD Bank Ballpark as part of the Tuesday, July 29 Copa de la Diversion game. The Patriots will play as the Zorros de Somerset for the 6:05 pm game versus the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants).
The Panama-native will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and then sign autographs on the main concourse during the game from 6:15 pm – 8:15 pm. The autographs will be free and limited to one item per person on a first come, first served basis.
Mendoza was part of five World Series Championship teams with the Yankees (1996-2002, 2005) and the Boston Red Sox (2003-2004). Over a nine-year career, Mendoza compiled a 59-40 record with 463 strikeouts and a 4.30 ERA in 797 innings pitched.
Ramiro Mendoza Autograph Procedure:
For meet and greets, the Somerset Patriots use a wristband system. When gates open, different colored wristbands will be distributed to interested fans at a table against the wall behind Section 204 (next to the water fountains). Wristbands are on a first come, first served basis and are limited in quantity while supplies last. Once they receive a wristband, fans can enjoy the game until their wristband color is called over the PA system. When their color is called, fans can get in line on the concourse. In an effort to accommodate as many fans as possible, autographs will be limited to one item person and no posed photographs will be permitted.
