FORT MYERS, Fla. (September 28, 2026) - The Fort Myers minor league baseball franchise has reached 300 alums to appear in a Major League Baseball game since the franchise began as the Miracle in 1992.
With Aaron Sabato’s MLB debut on September 21, the Miracle and Mighty Mussels have now had 300 former players appear in a big-league game. This total includes rehabbers who may not have climbed the organization's ladder in sequential order, but Fort Myers still played a role in their journey to The Show.
Sabato was the Minnesota Twins first round selection in 2020 and appeared in 95 games with the Mussels, 85 of which came in 2021.
Other recent alums to debut include Twins’ top prospects Walker Jenkins, Kaelen Culpepper and Emmanuel Rodriguez.

Prominent alums include: Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, David Ortiz, Torii Hunter, A.J. Pierzynski, Michael Cuddyer, Glen Perkins, Rubén Sierra, Liam Hendriks, Byron Buxton, Luis Arraez, Nelson Cruz, and Sonny Gray.
The next batch of future Minnesota Twins will return to the diamond in April for the 2027 Mighty Mussels season.
