Four Cubs Earn Midwest League All-Star Honors

This year's South Bend All-Star's are pitchers
The Midwest League All-Star selections come as a high honor as it is the first full professional season for each Cubs player selected.
Last year South Bend sent six representatives to the All-Star game as they put together the best record in the Midwest League's Eastern Division throughout the first half of the 2016 season. Among last year's South Bend All-Star's were Cubs No. 1 Prospect
Though the Cubs are currently in third place in the Eastern Division in 2017, they are also 12 games over .500 good for a .603 winning percentage as the All-Star break quickly approaches.
Dylan Cease, the Chicago Cubs No. 3 prospect, currently holds a 2.65 ERA in eight games started for South Bend this season. Despite his 1-2 record, the hard-throwing righty had a 54-to-18 strikeout to walk ratio throughout 34 innings pitched before heading to the DL with a leg injury on May 19.
Duncan Robinson was recently named the Chicago Cubs' Minor League Pitcher of the Month of May is 5-2 through six games started and five relief appearances. The Dartmouth alum currently holds a 1.34 ERA, the best among South Bend starters, while collecting 43 strikeouts over 53 and 2/3 innings pitched.
Yeiler Peguero, signed by the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent in 2014, was one of South Bend's hottest hitters in April hitting .308 with six doubles and 13 RBIs. He notched 68 hits in 68 games for the Eugene Emeralds in 2016.
Wladimir Galindo is hitting .297 in 155 at-bats thoughout 44 games for the Cubs. The 6-foot-3 right-hander has hit four homers and 11 doubles while frequently hitting cleanup for South Bend. Last season Galindo hit nine home runs in 66 games to help the Eugene Emeralds to the 2016 Northwest League Championship.
