LAS VEGAS, Nevada - The biggest power hitting performance of the season propelled the Tacoma Rainiers (26-24) to a 7-5 victory over the Las Vegas 51s (20-30) on Saturday night at Cashman Field.
The Rainiers did most of their damage with home runs for the second straight game, with the club crushing a season-high four dingers after hitting three on Friday night. Catcher Chris Herrmann (3x4, 3 R, HR, RBI, BB), first baseman Mike Marjama (3x5, 2 R, 3B, HR, 2 RBI), and center fielder Taylor Motter (2x5, 2 R, 3B, 2 RBI) all checked in with multiple hits. Overall, all nine batters in the Rainiers lineup reached base at least once as the club collected 12 hits and drew five walks.

Tacoma and Las Vegas entered the sixth inning tied at 3-3, setting up a pair of crucial home runs to give the Rainiers the lead. Marjama put the visitors out in front with a two-run home run to left field and Zach Vincej followed two batters later with a solo shot that gave Tacoma a 6-3 edge.
Las Vegas cut the Rainiers lead to one run in the bottom of the seventh, but Tacoma responded with one run in the eighth and a four-run outburst in the top of the ninth inning to seal the victory.
Rainiers starting pitcher Christian Bergman (4-3) worked six innings for Tacoma and allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits. He walked three and struck out three on 96 pitches (60 strikes).
Shawn Armstrong (1.0 IP) and Tucker Healy (2.0 IP) provided lockdown relief out of the Rainiers bullpen, allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out two. Healy worked the final two frames and earned his first save of the year.
Left-hander Roenis Elías (1-4, 6.29) gets the start for Tacoma as the series against Las Vegas continues on Sunday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. PT. The 51s will start right-hander Andrew Church (1-0, 1.80).
