The Florida State League announced its 2018 FSL All-Star rosters on Friday, with four Clearwater Threshers earning All-Star honors as voted by the league's coaches, official scorers, and broadcasters.
Pitcher Bailey Falter, first baseman Darick Hall, designated hitter/first baseman Austin Listi, and shortstop Arquimedes Gamboa have all been named to the FSL North roster.
Falter, 21, currently ranks fifth in the FSL with a 2.64 ERA. The two-time Florida State League Pitcher of the Week is also fifth in the league with a .215 opponent batting average and third in WHIP at 0.95. The lefty has issued only seven walks all season, and has not permitted a base on balls over his last three outings (16.2 innings).
Hall earned a promotion up to Double-A Reading after crushing a league-high 11 home runs over 48 games for the Threshers. The 22-year-old also was third in the FSL with 35 RBIs, and third in slugging at .538. A 14th round draft pick out of Dallas Baptist in 2016, Hall hit .277 for Clearwater with a .367 on-base percentage.
Listi, 24, has consistently ranked among the top-10 in the FSL in hitting throughout the season, and currently owns the fifth-highest average in the league at .338. A 17th round pick out of Dallas Baptist in 2017, Listi is second in the FSL in on-base percentage at .430 and is tied for second with 13 doubles.
Gamboa is ranked by Baseball America as the No. 20 prospect in the Phillies system. The 20-year-old is hitting .257 with a .335 on-base percentage through 44 games.
This year's midsummer classic will take place on Saturday, June 16 at George M. Steinbrenner Field, home of the Tampa Tarpons.
