Salisbury, MD (March 27, 2026) - Due to inclement weather, the Friday, March 27 contest of the Spring Training Exhibition Series between the Chesapeake Baysox, Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and the Delmarva Shorebirds, Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, has been canceled.
The Friday, March 27 game will not be made up. For fans with tickets to the Friday, March 27 exhibition, the Shorebirds ticketing office will be reaching out via email in separate communication about the next steps with your tickets. The Baysox conclude the Spring Training Exhibition Series with the Shorebirds on Sunday, March 29, with gates opening at 1:00 p.m. ET and first pitch scheduled for 2:05 p.m. from Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.
Chesapeake will then hit the road and open the 2026 regular season on Thursday, April 2 against the Hartford Yard Goats, Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, for the start of a three-game series. First pitch for the 2026 season opener is set for 7:10 p.m. ET from Dunkin' Park in Hartford.
Baysox Fan Fest
Fans can still attend Baysox Fan Fest this Saturday at Prince George's Stadium. Admission is free and events will include inflatables on the concourse, video game truck, game-used memorabilia for sale, and a first look at the brand new Kids Park. The 2026 Baysox home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 against the Erie SeaWolves – Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. ET.
