Pigs continue strong April with 7-2 victory

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (15-5) offense continues to roll in 2019 as they beat the Buffalo Bisons (5-13) 7-2 on Friday night. 

Bisons left fielder Jonathan Davis hit a two-run home run off Ranger Suárez (2-1) in the top of the third inning. The Bisons took a 2-0 lead, but it wouldn't last long. Catcher Deivi Grullon hit a three-run double off Shawn Morimando (0-2) in the bottom of the third inning to give Lehigh Valley a 3-2 lead. 
The IronPigs extended their lead to 5-2 off Morimando in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lane Adams and Gift Ngoepe both hit solo home runs. Adams struck again in the bottom of the fifth inning against Morimando as he hit a two-run single that scored Mitch Walding and Andrew Romine. 
Suarez allowed just two runs over 6 1/3 innings while striking out seven batters. Davis extended his scoreless inning streak to 12 2/3 innings. Edgar Garcia pitched the top of the ninth inning for Lehigh Valley. 
The IronPigs and Buffalo Bisons will play on Saturday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
