The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (56-61) snapped their three-game losing streak Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Charlotte Knights (64-54) 6-3 at Coca-Cola Park.

The IronPigs took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning against Dylan Covey (0-1) as Deivy Grullon hit an RBI single with two outs to score Nick Williams. They extended their lead to 3-0 against Covey in the bottom of the second inning as Malquin Canelo and Williams each hit RBI singles.
Charlotte put two runs on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning against Damon Jones as Ramón Torres hit a two-run home run. It was the fourth straight game for Torres in which he hit a home run. Williams answered with a two-run home run himself in the bottom of the seventh inning against Zach Thompson to give Lehigh Valley a 5-2 lead.
Shane Robinson scored on a fielding error by Charlie Tilson in the bottom of the eighth inning that extended the IronPigs lead to 6-2. Zack Collins hit a sacrifice fly off Tyler Gilbert in the top of the ninth inning to make the score 6-3. Gilbert earned his second save of the season by pitching two innings to close out the game.
Josh Tols (1-0) earned his first AAA victory by pitching a scoreless inning in relief of Jones.
The IronPigs resume play on Tuesday in Louisville against the Bats. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
