Vidourek Homers Twice but 4th Inning Flips Finale Against Fresno

ONTARIO, Calif. – Landyn Vidourek homered twice against his former team, but a nine-run fourth inning flipped the series finale against the Fresno Grizzlies, who fell 15-6 to the Ontario Tower Buzzers on Sunday at ONT Field.
Fresno led for a stretch two separate times. The Grizzlies scored in each of the first four innings — a bases-loaded walk from Sebastian Blanco in the first, Roynier Hernandez's RBI double in the second, Blanco's RBI single in the third and Vidourek's leadoff homer off Joel Cruz in the fourth — while Ontario answered with three runs of its own in the first and matched Fresno step for step to a 3-3 tie before Vidourek's blast put the Grizzlies back on top, 4-3.
Ontario erased that lead in a hurry. The Tower Buzzers sent 12 batters to the plate against Luke Hansel in the bottom of the fourth, with three-run homers from Easton Shelton and Javier Herrera bookending the damage and turned Fresno's one-run edge into a 12-4 Ontario lead.
Vidourek's second homer, a two-run shot off Jholbran Herder in the eighth, was the headline moment for Fresno the rest of the way.
Vidourek finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs against his former club, and his two blasts accounted for half of Fresno's runs on the night.
Ontario tacked on insurance the rest of the way, an Abel Lorenzo sacrifice fly in the sixth and a two-run eighth built around Lorenzo's triple and a run that scored on a wild pitch, to set the final margin at 15-6.
Luichi Casilla started for Fresno and allowed three runs over three innings bouncing back after a three-run first with two scoreless inning.
Hansel absorbed the nine-run fourth and took the loss, falling to 0-2.
Joel Cruz worked 4.2 innings in relief of Jack O'Connor to pick up the win for Ontario.
Despite the loss, Fresno still won the season series against Ontario 10-8 and split this six-game set at ONT Field.
The Grizzlies remain alone in first place in the California League North's second half, a game ahead of both Stockton and San Jose.
Fresno returns home Tuesday to open a six-game series against Visalia at Chukchansi Park, with first pitch scheduled for 6:50 p.m.
