Garcia & Bummer Promoted to White Sox Today

Garcia, 24, was hitting .286 (32-for-112) with 20 runs scored, six doubles, five home runs, and 20 RBIs with the Knights in 31 games this season. He is also batting .259 (22-for-85) with five doubles, three triples, over two stints with the White Sox this year (35 games).
Bummer, 23, made three appearances with the Knights and was 0-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five innings pitched. He posted a 1-3 mark with three saves and a 3.00 ERA with the Double-A Birmingham Barons in 17 games earlier this season. He also compiled a 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA and two saves in eight games (11.0 innings pitched) with Winston-Salem (High-A).
A product of the University of Nebraska, Bummer entered the 2017 season ranked by Baseball America as the 21st prospect in the Chicago White Sox system. The Valencia, CA native was originally drafted by the White Sox in the 19th round of the June 2014 First-Year Player Draft. He was a non-roster invitee to White Sox Spring Training earlier this year.
Gillaspie, 24, was hitting .227 (80-for-353) with 45 runs scored, 15 doubles, nine home runs, and 44 RBIs in 95 games with Triple-A Durham this season. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2014 MLB June Amateur Draft (20th overall).
For the season, the Knights have now promoted 13 players to Chicago. RHP
The Knights will conclude their four-game series against the Clippers at BB&T Ballpark tonight and go for the four-game series sweep.
