Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Yunior Garcia homered for a second straight game and drove in a game-high three, as the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes downed Visalia by a final score of 7-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The win is Rancho’s fourth in the six-game series, as they earn their fourth series win of the year and enter Tuesday’s six-game showdown with first-place Lake Elsinore at two games out in the South Division.

Garcia had a big day, blasting his third homer of the year, driving in three and scoring three as well. That was enough offense for the Quakes’ pitching staff, as Jerming Rosario, on in relief of the debuting River Ryan, tossed four hitless innings to earn the win in relief.

Rosario (2-3) walked four, but struck out five over his four frames, after Ryan fired two innings of scoreless baseball to kick off Sunday’s game.

Ben Harris and Joan Valdez gave the Quakes two more innings of shutout baseball, before the Rawhide finally broke through with a two-out run against Madison Jeffrey to spoil the shutout.

The Quakes (25-20) will send Huei-Sheng Lin to the hill in Tuesday’s opener against the Storm, while Lake Elsinore has not yet settled on a starter for game one of the six-game series.

Tuesday is another Healthy RC Recycle Tuesday, as fans that pledge to recycle ten CRV-eligible bottles and cans will receive a free Club Seat Ticket. Game time on Tuesday is 6:30pm and tickets are available at rcquakes.com. We hope to see you at LoanMart Field...Go Quakes!
