LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - The weekend many Storm fans circle on their calendars with much anticipation has finally arrived. GEEKend returns to The Diamond in Lake Elsinore for its fourth edition, beginning Thursday, June 8th, in a series with division rival Rancho Cucamonga.
Thursday night's game is Cosplay Night. There will be an in-game costume party in The Diamond Club that will include a live DJ, special guest host and a costume contest. Enjoy $2 beers and sodas through the seventh inning as long as supplies last. Those who dress in costume get free tickets to the game, but note that t-shirts will not count. Thursday's gates will open at 6pm for a 7pm first pitch.
GEEKend4 continues on Friday, June 9th, with Superhero Night. The first 1,000 fans through the main entrance will receive a free comic book courtesy of SoCal Games and Comics. Dress up as your favorite superhero for free tickets and enjoy superhero-themed promotions throughout the night. Stick around after the game for fireworks. First pitch Friday will be 7pm with gates opening at 6pm.
The always-popular Star Wars Night highlights Saturday's game. On June 10th, come out to The Diamond dressed as your favorite Star Wars character for free admission and take in a pre-game light saber battle. Get to the ballpark early and get your "Dark Lord" Storm hat courtesy of San Diego Blood Bank, limited to the first 1,000 fans through the main entrance. Gates will open at 5pm for a 6pm first pitch.
Gamer Night will conclude GEEKend4 on Sunday, June 11th, with a 1pm first pitch. Gates will open at 12pm. If you like baseball, but also enjoy playing video games, come out and experience our gaming areas, set up along the concourse and available for all fans to enjoy. Dress as your favorite video game character for free tickets, but please note that t-shirts do not count as "dressing up."
If you have used video games or video game consoles, please note that you can donate them at the stadium in exchange for GEEKend4 tickets. For every game or accessory donated you can get one ticket. For every system donated you receive five tickets. The maximum tickets per donation are five. All donations go to the Game Changer Charity.
If you are interested in attending GEEKend4 at The Diamond or have questions, please contact Storm baseball at 951-245-4487.
All proceeds from GEEKend4 will benefit the San Diego Blood Bank.
