Birmingham, Ala. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, won their fourth straight game on Saturday night, taking down the Birmingham Barons 5-1 at Regions Field.

The victory boosts Jackson (8-6) two games over .500 for the first time this season, and it snapped a four-game win streak for Birmingham (8-8).
The story of the night for the Generals was shortstop Jazz Chisholm, who had a hand in three of Jackson's runs in the contest. Chisholm's first three hits at Double-A this season had all gone for extra bases, and he supplied more of the same on Saturday. The 21-year-old Bahamian blasted a pair of home runs to become the first General with a multi-homer game since Daniel Robertson hit two against Mobile on June 10, 2018. Chisholm's effort meshed well with a three-hit night from Pavin Smith and a multi-hit game from Jeffrey Baez, who each bagged an extra-base hit against Birmingham's Kodi Medeiros (0-2, 6.75 ERA). The Generals' offense left ten men on base and went 0-for-8 with men in scoring position, but the power surge from that trio was enough to keep Jackson online.
Generals right-hander Riley Smith (1-2, 5.28 ERA) completed six innings and gave up just a solo home run, collecting the first quality start for any Jackson pitcher this season. Smith's hyper-efficient work included five hits allowed, five strikeouts, and no walks among 69 pitches, 54 of which went for strikes. Smith kept Birmingham's offense largely in check by working the lower half of the strike zone, inducing eight groundouts compared to four flyouts on batted balls. Lucas Luetge, Ryan Atkinson, and Michael Kohn each followed with a scoreless inning of relief to tamp the Generals' team ERA down to 3.41.
