Giambrone, Rea Lead the I-Cubs in Setback
RENO, NV - Trent Giambrone hit an inside-the-park home run and Colin Rea spun a gem but it wasn't enough as the Iowa Cubs (58-52) were defeated 3-1 by the Reno Aces (50-60), Thursday at Greater Nevada Field.
RENO, NV -
The Aces spoiled a scoreless game with a two-out rally in the fourth.
The game remained deadlocked as Payamps held the I-Cubs to one hit, walked one and struck out one through 7.0 frames. On the opposite bump,
A tumultuous eighth inning was the difference as an uncharacteristic two Iowa errors led to two unearned runs on a Rosario single.
