PORTLAND, ME - The Eastern League is pleased to announce the winners of the Eastern League Player of the Week Award and Eastern League Pitcher of the Week Award for the period of July 9th through July 15th.

Reading Fightin Phils outfielder Adam Haseley has been selected as the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of July 9th-July 15th. The 22-year old batted .385 (5-for-13) with one double, two home runs, three RBIs, five runs scored, two walks, and a .923 slugging percentage in four games last week. Haseley, who is a native of Orlando, Florida, was promoted to Reading from Class-A Clearwater last Wednesday and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in his Double-A debut on Thursday night. He followed that up by going 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBIs on Friday night in Reading's 5-4 win over the visiting Bowie Baysox. The 6'1", 195 lb. slugger led all Eastern League hitters in slugging percentage (.923) and home runs (2) last week. He also finished ranked among the weekly league leaders in OPS (1.423-2nd), extra-base hits (3-tied 2nd), total bases (12-tied 2nd), runs scored (5-3rd), and RBIs (3-tied 8th). Adam, who is rated by MLB.com as the third best prospect in the Philadelphia organization, was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the first round with the eighth overall pick of the 2017 draft after hitting .390 with 14 home runs, 56 RBIs and 68 runs scored in 58 games during his junior season at the University of Virginia.

Sean Brady, a left-handed starting pitcher for the Akron RubberDucks, has been selected as the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of July 9th-July 15th. The 6'0", 175 lb. hurler started one game for the RubberDucks last week and had a record of 0-0 with five strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA. Brady, who is a native of Cape Coral, Florida, made his lone start of the week on Saturday night against the visiting Binghamton Rumble Ponies and pitched 7.2 shutout innings in Akron's 12-inning, 1-0 victory. He retired the first 13 batters of the game and took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before allowing a single with one out in the top of the seventh inning. Brady wound up giving up three hits and striking out five batters over his 7.2 innings of work. The 24-year old ranked first among all Eastern League pitchers in WHIP (0.39) last week and tied for the lead in ERA (0.00). He also finished ranked among the weekly league leaders in batting average against (.130-2nd) and innings pitched (7.2-2nd). Sean, who has a record of 5-5 with 67 strikeouts and a 4.10 ERA in 18 starts for the RubberDucks this season, was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the fifth round of the 2013 draft out of Baker High School in Cape Coral, Florida.
