LANSING, Mich. - Ryan Hissey  singled home Bradley Jones with one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, lifting the Lansing Lugnuts (26-18) to a 4-3 win and a four-game sweep of the Lake County Captains (16-29) on Thursday at Cooley Law School Stadium.

The Lugnuts have won a season-high five straight games and seven of their last eight. This was their first walkoff win of the season.

Lake County grabbed a 3-1 lead in the seventh, using a Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. throwing error to score two unearned runs against reliever Andrew Deramo .

The Nuts rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth against Dalbert Siri (Blown Save; Loss, 0-1) on an error, a walk, a sacrifice bunt, a Jake Thomas RBI groundout and a run-scoring wild pitch.

One inning later, the Lugnuts went back to work against Siri. With one out, Jones singled up the middle, stole second base and moved to third on a throwing error by catcher Li-Jen Chu. Hissey played hero, working the count to 2-and-2, fouling off three straight pitches, and driving the eighth pitch of the at-bat through the right side of the infield to end the game.

Lansing reliever Kirby Snead (Win, 3-1) picked up the victory after recording the final out of the top of the tenth, setting down Emmanuel Tapia to strand Captains at second and third.

Lugnuts starter Denis Diaz gave up just one run on three hits in six innings of strong work, striking out six.

Deramo followed with two frames, striking out three, and Zach Jackson worked the next 1 2/3 innings with a pair of strikeouts before handing the ball to Snead.

The Lugnuts' offense was led by leadoff hitter Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs batted in. Hissey added two hits in five at-bats.

The Lugs' defense turned four sparkling double plays in the game, two of which featured barehand pivots at second base by Jones.

The Lugnuts next welcome in the Great Lakes Loons for a four-game series starting on Friday night at 7:05 p.m., with right-hander Mike Ellenbest (1-4, 7.91) starting the opener.
