Homestand Highlights: April 25-30 vs. Frisco

Amarillo, Texas (April 22, 2023) - The Amarillo Sod Poodles will play host to the visiting Frisco RoughRiders (Double-A, Texas Rangers) for a six-game series beginning on Tuesday, April 25. The Sod Poodles and RoughRiders played each other on Opening Weekend, with the Sod Poodles taking two of three from their Texas League South Division rival. Since April 13, either the Sod Poodles or RoughRiders have sat atop the division lead, and this early six-game series could prove pivotal in determining who takes the first-half crown. Depending on what ranking system you look at, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers have two of the top seven rated farm systems in baseball, and this series is sure to have a lot of talent on display.

This week features a loaded lineup of promotions and excitement surrounding the series, highlighted by Thursday being the MLB Pipeline's Game of the Month. Fans unable to be at the stadium that night will be able to watch the action from home as the game will be featured as the free MiLB Game on MLB.TV and MiLB.TV. The week also features an appearance from NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman at HODGETOWN on Thursday. The weekend is set to be an exciting one with Diamond Dig and Bark In The Park scheduled for Saturday, April 29. The series concludes on Sunday, April 30 with some day baseball, a Sod Poodles beanie giveaway, and the first of two scheduled team autograph sessions and team poster giveaways. As always, there will be Friday Night Fireworks on April 28.
