Hooks, 'Hounds Series Cut Short

CORPUS CHRISTI - Thursday's Texas League doubleheader between the Corpus Christi Hooks and Midland RockHounds at Whataburger Field has been canceled.

"Given the further development of Tropical Storm Harvey in the Gulf of Mexico, we've decided to cancel the games," Hooks president Ken Schrom said. "This is in the best interests of our fans, players, officials, and staff members."
A ticket to Friday night's game - originally the series finale - is now a rain check, and may be redeemed at the box office for a ticket of equal value to games September 2-3-4 vs. San Antonio. Unused tickets for tonight's game can also be redeemed for Labor Day weekend ticketing.
