WICHITA - Jason Schiavone and Trevor Austin both went deep Sunday afternoon, teaming for five two-out RBIs, as the Hooks earned a split of their lone six-game series with the Wind Surge via a 5-2 triumph at Equity Bank Bark.

Following four frames of two-run ball by James Hicks, Corpus Christi's bullpen turned in five innings of no-hit shutout relief.

Alex Santos II earned his fourth win by retiring all four batters he faced. Stranding a pair of lead-off walks in the fifth, Santos struck out three on the day, lowering his ERA to 3.51 in 38 appearances.

Jose Guedez retired five of six to advance a three-run lead to the eighth.

Nic Swanson erased a free pass with a double play en route to the two-inning save.

With two away in the fourth and his club down, 2-0, Will Bush bounced a base hit up the middle, bringing Schiavone to the plate. The Astros organizational home run leader belted his 24th home run of the season, an opposite-field, no-doubter to right. Toting a .920 OPS for the year, Schiavone's game-tying salvo snapped his 33-game homerless drought.

Austin pushed the Hooks ahead with a monster home run to the opposite field, depositing a 2-1 fastball beyond the CC bullpen in right. His club-best 15th home run came after a Kenni Gomez two-out single and Alejandro Nuñez reaching by way of an error.

Aided by a terrific diving catch from Chase Call in the ninth, Hooks hurlers held Wichita to two baserunners past the fifth.
