The San Francisco Giants have announced that OF Hunter Pence is scheduled to appear in the lineup with the San Jose Giants on Friday, June 2, at Municipal Stadium as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Hunter Pence, an eleven-year Major League Baseball veteran, was traded to the San Francisco Giants on July 31, 2012. Pence was an integral part of the 2012 and 2014 World Series teams. The three-time All-Star is a career .283 hitter and has amassed 1,553 hits and slugged 202 homeruns during his career. Pence is currently on the 10-day disabled list.
The San Jose Giants continue a nine-game homestand on Wednesday night with a four-game series against the Lake Elsinore Storm, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the San Diego Padres, and then a three-game clash against the Lancaster JetHawks, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
