Adon, Quiroz and Martinez combine on four-hitter

Melvin Adon, Orleny Quiroz and Rodolfo Martinez combined on a four-hitter and the Giants scored all four of their runs in the top of the second en route to a 4-1 victory over the Modesto Nuts on Wednesday evening at John Thurman Field. With the win, San Jose (26-20) bounced back from their worst loss of the season in the series opener and moved to within one game of first place in the first half North Division race.

San Jose suffers largest margin of defeat this season

Modesto's Gareth Morgan hit a tiebreaking three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth before the Nuts scored eight times in the sixth to break the game open on their way to a 12-1 victory over the Giants on Tuesday evening at John Thurman Field. The series-opening loss was San Jose's (25-20) largest margin of defeat this season.

San Jose scores four runs in ninth inning for 5-1 victory

The San Jose Giants scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning Sunday afternoon on their way to a 5-1 victory over the Stockton Ports at Banner Island Ballpark. Frandy De La Rosa drew a bases loaded walk in the ninth to give the Giants the lead before Gio Brusa's three-run triple broke the game open. With the win, San Jose (25-19) takes two out of three in the series and moves to within one game of Stockton (26-18) for first place in the first half North Division race.

Giants lose 3-2 in 10 innings

Stockton's Brallan Perez and Nate Mondou delivered RBI singles in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Ports to a dramatic 3-2 series-opening victory over the San Jose Giants on Friday evening at Banner Island Ballpark. The Giants forced extra-innings on Sandro Fabian's solo home run in the top of the ninth and then took the lead with a run in the top of the 10th only to see Stockton score twice in the bottom of the frame for the walk-off win. The loss was San Jose's (23-19) fourth in their last five games overall.

Sandro Fabian hit a tiebreaking RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Giants to a 3-2 victory over the Modesto Nuts on Wednesday evening at Municipal Stadium. San Jose tied the game with a run in the bottom of the seventh before Fabian's hit an inning later put the Giants in front for good. With the win, San Jose (23-17) and Modesto have now split the first two games of the series.

San Jose falls 7-5; Winn's hit streak snapped at 16 games

The Modesto Nuts overcame a three-run deficit on Tuesday night in a 7-5 come-from-behind victory over the Giants at Municipal Stadium. In the opener of a three-game series, Modesto scored four times in the top of the sixth to take the lead before holding off San Jose late to secure the win. With the defeat, the Giants (22-17) have suffered back-to-back home losses for the first time this season.
