I-Cubs Add "Demonios de Des Moines" Game to Schedule

DES MOINES- To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, Iowa will be adding a fourth “Copa” game to their schedule. The Demonios de Des Moines will appear for a fourth game in 2022 on Sunday, September 18, against the Memphis Redbirds.

For today only, Iowa is offering a special ticket offer for all four “Copa” games on the Iowa’s schedule this year. If you buy an $18 reserved ticket to any of the four “Copa” games on the schedule, you will also receive a Demonios Bobblehead with your ticket. Bobbleheads will not be shipped, they will be for pick-up only at the game you bought a ticket for.

The Demonios de Des Moines will appear again on Sunday, August 7 and on Saturday, August 27, with the fourth and final game now scheduled against Memphis for Sunday, September 18.

The team store will also be doing a Cinco de Mayo special today, with all Demonios de Des Moines gear selling for 20% off the original price.

Iowa will be one of 85 minor league organizations joining the “Copa” initiative in Minor League Baseball’s fifth season running the event. This marks the third season that the Demonios de Des Moines identity returns since it initially debuted for three games during the 2019 season.

The branding showcases the history of professional baseball in Des Moines that was created by the Des Moines Demons. As the professional baseball team in Des Moines from 1925-1937 and again from 1959-1961, the Demons were Western League Champions in 1925 and 1926 and also won the Three-I League title in 1959.
