ROCHESTER, NY – A championship celebration 29 years in the making is coming to ESL Ballpark. The Rochester Red Wings invite fans to celebrate the franchise’s 20th league championship on Monday, September 28, beginning at 6 p.m.

The Red Wings captured their first International League championship since 1997 with a 3-2 victory over the Memphis Redbirds on Thursday night, winning the best-of-three Championship Series. The title is Rochester’s first as the Washington Nationals’ Triple-A affiliate and gives a new generation of Red Wings fans a championship of their own to celebrate.

Monday’s celebration will feature live music, $2 beers, $2 hot dogs, and 20% off purchases in the team store. Fans can commemorate the historic season with photos alongside the championship trophy and in front of the championship flag.

The championship adds another chapter to a Rochester baseball tradition dating to 1899. The 2026 Red Wings led all of Minor League Baseball with 90 regular-season wins, reaching that mark for the first time since 1953, and returned to the International League postseason for the first time since 2013. Their title is the club’s first since 1997, when the Red Wings defeated the Columbus Clippers to win the Governors’ Cup.

The 2026 Triple-A National Championship Game will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:05 p.m. ET (7:05 p.m. PT) at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, Nevada.
