INDIANAPOLIS - Tribe pitcher Nick Kingham has been named the Indians Player of the Week for a second time in three weeks thanks to a two-hit gem against Syracuse and another quality start against Buffalo.

The 25-year-old went 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA (3 ER in 15.0 IP) in two starts during the week. On Thursday, Aug. 10 against the Chiefs, the Las Vegas native tossed Indy's first nine-inning two-hitter at Victory Field since 2004. He allowed one run in that outing, walked none and fanned a season-high-tying eight batters en route to his fourth consecutive victory. He needed just 85 pitches to get through the nine innings of work and endured two three-ball counts the entire game. Kingham then carried his success on the road at Buffalo last night, throwing six innings of two-run ball.

Honorable Mention: Outfielder Jordan Luplow, named as the Indians Player of the Week from Aug. 3-9, had another impressive week at the plate. The 23-year-old hit .478 (11-for-23) with one home run, a triple, two RBI and four runs scored in six contests.
