Then, Iowa scored five unanswered runs of its own as the Worcester lead was cut down to 9-5. A wild pitch by the Red Sox scored Kevin Alcantara for the first Iowa run. Then, Hayden Cantrelle drove in a run on a sac fly.
James Triantos plated another run on a fielding error. Moises Ballesteros ripped his 11th homer of the season as the lead cut down to 9-5 but that was not enough to get the win as Worcester took the fifth game of the series.
Right-hander Connor Noland got into trouble early as he finished his night working just 3.1 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits with just two punchouts.
