IronBirds Drop Game Two Against the Renegades 4-1

Aberdeen, MD: Matt Hammonds went 6.0 IP for the second straight outing of his Aberdeen career. Unfortunately, it was not enough tonight as the difference in tonight's game was a solo blast off the bat of Jacson McGowan.
JUMPING OUT EARLY: The ironBirds took a 1-0 lead in the second when Alexis Torres drove a fastball to the warning track for a sacrifice fly. The ball nearly got out but was enough to plate Luke Ringhofer who reached on a lead off double. It would be the only offense of the night for the IronBirds. 
COMEBACK: The Renegades would tie it up in the 3rd inning and then take the lead in the 4th thanks to a solo homer from Jacson McGowan. It was McGowan's first homerun of the season. The Renegades would not look back as that was all the offense they needed tonight. 
HAMMONDS DEALS:Matt Hammonds was terrific again tonight. He went six innings pitched and only gave up two earned runs. He struck out three and also walked three. Unfortunately for him, he would take the loss as the IronBirds were held silent tonight at the plate, scoring just one run. 
BIRD WATCHING: Luke Ringhofer continued his power surge tonight with a line drive double in the second inning. He would eventually score the only IronBirds run. Ringhofer hit a solo blast yesterday for his first home run of the year. 
Matt Hammonds has made two starts totally 12.0 IP. He has struck out 11 and walked 4. He has an earned run average of 1.50. 
UP NEXT: The IronBirds and Renegades will meet up tomorrow night for the rubber match in this three game set. First pitch will be at 7:05
