BACK AND FORTH: Vermont put the first run on the board when Ryan Gridley scored on a double-play-ball in the second inning. Aberdeen matched that run with one of their own on an RBI single from
SCORE, SCORE, SCORE: Three innings would bring the Lake Monsters ten runs. Cameron Ming gave up six runs, Josh Keaton allowed another four. Aaron Arruda's two run homerun in the fourth seemed to be the dagger. A five run fifth inning made it 11-1 through four and a half.
VERMONT HEADS NORTH: Eleven runs and fourteen hits propelled the Lake Monsters to a series victory. The IronBirds matched their effort with just six hits and two runs.
'BIRD WATCHING: Aberdeen tied their season high in hits allowed with 14. They are now 6-4 in three game series and 3-3 in rubber matches. Ben Breazeale's base hit pushes his batting average to a league leading .422.
