Generals announce Media Day schedule and 2018 "Meet The Team" Night

The Jackson Generals have announced details for their pre-season Media Day and the annual "Meet the Team" event for Generals fans. Media Day will be Tuesday, April 3, with access granted to credentialed media members for interviews and photography with players and coaches. "Meet the Team" Night will take place at Englewood Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 4, and it will be open to the public.

Media Day: Tuesday, April 3 (The Ballpark at Jackson)
Players and coaches for the 2018 Jackson Generals will be available to credentialed media on Tuesday, April 3 for interviews and photography from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Requests for manager Shelley Duncan, pitching coach Doug Drabek, hitting coach Vince Harrison, or coach Javier Colina should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Further roster information about the team will become available on Monday, April 2
Media credential requests can be made via email to media relations manager Tyler Springs. Please include "media credential" in the subject line of your email to [email protected], and list the organization, full names, positions, and individual email addresses for each person seeking a credential in the body of the email. Organizations that seek full-season media credentials will be limited to six (6) full-season credential requests and should specify which members are requesting full-season passes. Approved credentials will be available for pickup from the ticket office at The Ballpark at Jackson on Tuesday, April 3.
Requests for telephone, radio, or other remote-access interviews with Generals personnel should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. These requests will be granted on a case-by-case basis, and they should contain the name of the interviewer, their organization, email address, phone number, interview medium, and preferred topics and personnel.
All media members who receive a credential or permission for media availability with Generals personnel are subject to the 2018 Minor League Baseball Press Credential Agreement. This agreement is linked to this release, and media members are responsible for knowing the details of the agreement prior to interacting with team personnel.
Meet The Team: Wednesday, April 4 (Englewood Baptist Church)
Englewood Baptist Church will once again host a "Meet The Team" Night for the Generals on Wednesday, April 4, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the coaches and players on the team's 2018 Opening Night Roster, as well as take pictures and ask for autographs on the night before the season begins.
