FREDERICK, MD-The Frederick Keys are excited to announce the outfielder Zach Jarrett has been promoted to the Double-A Bowie Baysox. It is his first promotion to the Eastern League, while the North Carolina native becomes the first member of the Keys to receive a Double-A call-up in 2019.

In 21 games for Frederick, Jarrett, 24, slashed .306/.393/.444 with an .837 OPS to go with one home run, six RBIs, seven doubles and two stolen bases. On Friday night against Winston-Salem, he tied his season-high with three hits going 3-for-5 with a run scored in Frederick's 7-0 victory over the Dash.
Playing his first season in the Carolina League, Jarrett hit .277/.342/.437 with 14 home runs and 72 RBIs for the Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds in 2018. A Midseason and Postseason South Atlantic League All-Star, the 24-year-old finished the season first among Orioles farmhands with 139 hits.
Selected by the Orioles in the 28th round of the 2017 draft out of UNC-Charlotte, Jarrett is the son of NASCAR Hall of Famer, Dale Jarrett, a three-time winner of the Daytona 500.
Will Robertson takes Jarrett's spot on the Keys roster after beginning the year with Low-A Delmarva. A 30th round pick by the Orioles in the 2017 draft out of Davidson College, Robertson, 24, slashed .265/.351/.449 with an .800 OPS with the Shorebirds. In 14 games, he hit two home runs, three doubles, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored. He will wear jersey #21.
The Keys continue their six-game roadtrip on Saturday afternoon against the Winston-Salem Dash. Right-hander David Lebron (0-0, 5.23) starts for the Keys and will be opposed by Dash left-hander John Parke (1-1, 4.35). First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m. and the broadcast can be heard on frederickkeys.com and the TuneIn radio app starting at 1:45 p.m.
