ROUND ROCK, TX - Iowa Cubs right-hander Jen-Ho Tseng was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for the period of July 17-22, the league announced Monday. Tseng is the first Iowa Cub to receive the weekly honor in 2017.

Tseng, 22, captured the award after going 2-0 and allowing one earned run through 14.0 innings across two starts for Iowa last week. The righty gave up seven hits, walked three and fanned 13.
Notching his Triple-A debut with the I-Cubs on July 9 after a call-up from Double-A Tennessee, Tseng has seamlessly transitioned to the new level of play. He is a perfect 3-0 in three starts with a 1.40 (3ER/19.1IP) ERA. Between Tennessee and Iowa this season, he is 10-3 with a 2.71 clip (33ER/109.2IP) in 28 starts.
The Cubs signed the Taiwan native as a non-drafted free agent on July 25, 2013. Through four minor league seasons, he is 29-19 with a 3.26 ERA.
