Juarez (Greeneville) and Concepcion (Bluefield) Receive POTW Honors
CHAPEL HILL, NC- The Appalachian League announced today that Minor League Baseball selected Greeneville Reds infielder Raul Juarez as Player of the Week and Bluefield Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Jol Concepcion as Pitcher of the Week. Both awards recognize these players' performances for games during the week of July 22-28.

Juarez, 21, earned Player of the Week Honors following a dominant five-game stretch. He batted .529, hit 1 home run, drove in 5 runs, and came across the plate 3 times. Juarez was signed by the Cincinnati Reds in 2015. This is his second season as a member of the Greeneville Reds.
Concepcion, 20, earned Pitcher of the Week Honors after a dominant start. He went 6 innings, gave up zero runs, allowed just 2 hits, and struck out 8 batters. Concepcion was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2017. He has previously played with the Dominican Summer League Blue Jays and the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays.
