DES MOINES, IA – The Iowa Cubs (39-48) evened the series against the Buffalo Bisons (45-43) at two wins apiece with their 3-1 victory on Friday night at Principal Park.
The game started off with a one-two-three inning on either side before the offense kicked off in the second. Buffalo struck first in their half of the inning with a double and two singles, bringing in the first run of the game and taking a 1-0 lead.
Iowa stranded two runners in the second inning and one in the third before finally cashing in in the fourth inning. Jackson Frazier and Jared Young started off the inning with back-to-back singles, and then

- Jackson Frazier extended his hitting streak to a season-high seven games, which matches his career high at Triple-A.
- Matt Dermody completed five innings and picked up the win for the second consecutive start. He is 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA (5ER/28.1IP) over his last six outings.
- Greg Deichmann went 2-for-3 and drove in all three of the I-Cubs runs tonight. It is his fifth game of the season with three or more RBI.
- Erich Uelmen secured his sixth save of the season, which leads the team.
